Abstract
A study of dispersion for transmission lines on anisotropic substrates is carried out using the FD-TLM (finite-difference transmission line matrix) method. Three typical transmission lines, microstrip, coplanar waveguide, and shielded microstrip line, are investigated. The frequency-dependent propagation characteristics are presented. The metallization thickness effect has been taken into consideration. The results are useful for the design of microwave integrated circuits on anisotropic substrates.<>
