Abstract
In this paper a candidate architecture for a high voltage DC electrical power distribution subsystem for ‘more electrical’ technologies in aerospace applications is described, along with its performance requirements in terms of power quality and voltage stability which might be affected by negative impedance behaviour of tightly controlled power electronics loads. A procedure for the design and optimization of passive DC filters is introduced, aiming at the minimization of the total filter weight with guaranteed stability margins and power quality performances.
