Abstract :
Laser-induced ignition of hydrocarbon/air mixtures was investigated using a tunable InGaAsSb/AlGaAsSb diode laser at 2.55 μm. The three parameters resonant water absorbance, flame emissions and a special gas inhomogeneity index were combined to characterize ignition.
