Abstract :
Government website is a important content of e-government, but the public is hard to find government website in result of search engine. in order for the public find government website in internet easily, government website should be optimized for search engine. According to the basic methods of website optimization and features of e-government, the paper take some methods, such as domain design, hyperlink optimization, keyword, web design and monitoring system, Government website optimization can effectively improve government website ranking in search engine results, increase government website visits, promote e-government development.
