  • Abstract
An analytic design procedure that makes it possible to determine slot length and slot offset for a specified aperture distribution and input impedance, in the presence of sectoral horns and other slots, is presented. The slot self-admittances are calculated numerically in the presence of the sectoral horn, thus eliminating the traditional measure slot data from the design process. The design process adjusts the length and offset of each slot in the total array until the desired aperture distribution and input match are achieved. The design theory has been applied to the design of a linear ten-element slot standing wave array. The input match and antenna patterns indicate that this design theory is a viable technique.<>
