Abstract :
An on-site antenna verification system has been developed which uses a PC for controlling microwave measurement equipment performing data reduction and immediately displaying the results. The automated measurements and built-in processing allow for more complete and accurate antenna evaluation. When used with an on-site cooperating antenna, significant savings in measurement time, satellite transponder use, and result reporting time are possible. The system preserves and improves antenna performance verification by providing for a more comprehensive and accurate earth station antenna measurement facility. The antenna user and satellite operator can also realize significant cost and manpower savings.<>
