Abstract
After analyzing the connotation and constitutes of knowledge harmony, a two-phase model to measure Chinese region knowledge harmony index was constructed. Knowledge distribution of thirty-one provinces of China from 2000 to 2007 was researched, and Chinese region knowledge composing harmony index, knowledge organizing harmony index, knowledge environment harmony index and knowledge harmony index were measured. The method combines entropy weights TOPSIS and patulous Geordie coefficient. Some important conclusions were drawn as follows: region knowledge composing was comparative harmonious, but there was no optimal trend; region knowledge organizing was very harmonious and optimized gradually; region knowledge environment was least harmonious comparatively and there were biggish difference among regions; region knowledge was harmonious, though the change extent was biggish and there was no distinct optimizing trend.
