Abstract :
The design technique and the measured results of a planar circularly polarized subarray composed of four EMC patches are presented. A schematic layout of the four radiating elements is shown. The design and optimization of the feeding network were carried out by using a dedicated software package and experimental results in order to obtain a fine tuning of microstrip dimensions. Good performance in terms of gain and efficiency is shown. With respect to the polarization purity, the axial ratio performance in the frequency band is from 3 dB to 1.4 dB.<>
