Abstract :
A hybrid GA based evolutionary algorithm has been built with a range of selection and variation heuristics; amongst them a jumping model for cooling and heating that can be automated for each test problem. These methods have been tested on five mathematical functions for which they outperform the genetic algorithms considered in terms of number of function evaluations
