Abstract :
There are number of problems related to the propagation of the information through optical fibers clue to polarization mode dispersion (PMD). It is possible to realize high bit rate optical soliton communication systems even under the presence of polarization mode dispersion if suitable forms of soliton transmission control are used. In this paper, we considered dispersion management and different transmission control techniques such as frequency domain control, time domain control and using nonlinear gain devices to reduce the effects of polarization mode dispersion.
