Abstract
This paper concerns how to achieve the initial frequency acquisition and frequency tracking in an open software radio TD-SCDMA platform, which consists of several common PCs and universal software radio peripheral. In this proposal, at the stage of frequency acquisition, the frequency difference between the base station and the terminal can be reduced step by step, by adjusting the size of segmental correlation window. Then at the stage of frequency tracking, the size of window is fixed as 32 chips to detect the residual frequency offset The simulation results and the software radio implementation prove that, the advantages of this invention are its wide frequency acquisition range, good performance and the robustness to multi-path fading.
