Multi pulse sweep-MPS is a technique that significantly improves navigational radar detection performance in clear and under adverse weather conditions. MPS utilises the advantages of frequency diversity by combining two or more conventional radar transceivers through a common antenna. Results from computer simulations show typically 40-60% track initiation range improvement compared to conventional radar in moderate to heavy rain clutter (10-80 mm/h)
