Abstract
A novel photonic technique for radio frequency (RF) measurement utilising dispersion in a multichannel chirped fibre Bragg grating (MCFBG) is developed. The underlying principle for fast photonic RF measurement is based on amplitude comparison of the RF power fading functions of double sideband (DSB) modulated optical carriers propagating through a dispersive medium. In this paper, a demonstration of the photonic RF measurement is presented.
