Abstract :
Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) radars, which can transmit multiple linearly independent probing signals, have been shown to provide improved performance in theory and practice. We address herein the maximum likelihood (ML) method for target localization and estimation using MIMO radars and propose two approximate ML algorithms. One of the proposed algorithms outperforms the other one at the cost of computational load. The performance of the proposed methods is validated by the simulation results.
