  • Abstract
In this paper, the code division multiplex of the digital pulse position modulation system (DPPM/CDM system) using the cascaded cancellation scheme is proposed. Moreover, the bit error rate (BER) performance and the effect of the cascaded cancellation techniques are evaluated. As a result, it is found that the BER performance is closer to the lower bound when the number of stages in the cascaded cancellation system increases. Therefore, the cascaded cancellation technique is effective to suppress co-channel interference. It is noticed that the degradation from the lower bound is less than 0.1 [dB] when the number of stages in the cascaded cancellation system is 2. Therefore, the number of cancellers is 2 for simplicity
