  • Abstract
    According to the characteristics of the power harmonic which includes steady and transient components and the wavelet analysis ability which processes unsteady signals and has the characteristic of multi-resolution analysis, the method of wavelet transform is applied to the detection of power harmonic. The method using wavelet transform to detect various harmonics in signals to be measured is presented and using Matlab to complete the simulation experiment. The results of simulation show that the harmonic signal can be exactly extracted and separated the fundamental harmonic and high order harmonic by using the method of wavelet packet transform. Therefore, wavelet transform analysis is a valid method in harmonic detection in power system.
