  • Abstract
The actual proposed techniques to cancel the torque ripple in the nonsinusoidal flux distribution brushless DC motors (BDCM) being not entirely satisfactory, a novel approach for the control of this kind of motor is proposed. By analogy to the case of sinusoidal flux distribution BDCM, a Park-like transformation is defined. This transformation allows us to elaborate high performance control laws in the “pseudo-dq” frame. Thus, a nonlinear state feedback control scheme is proposed and simulation results are presented. The feasibility of the implementation of this control scheme is discussed
