Abstract :
The attenuation of transformer noise is a serious problem which has been left unsolved. It is widely accepted that the vibration of the transformer core mainly affects the transformer noise. Hence the sufficient suppression of vibration of the transformer core will result the attenuation of the transformer noise. In this study, robust vibration suppression control of transformer core is presented. First, ARX (auto regressive exogenous) model of the transformer core is identified experimentally from the input-output data. Second, the plant is augmented by using the weighting functions which evaluate the tracking error; the model uncertainty and the input disturbance, and for which the H∞ controller is designed. The effectiveness of the vibration suppression control system is confirmed by simulation
