  • Abstract
The modification of a previously described synthesis method for optical fibres is proposed. Using given values of phase and group velocities of a spreading mode, the method restores a profile of refractive index in a cross section of a fiber. It is shown, that values of group velocities of a spreading mode on a fixed frequency determine completely the changes of the refraction index, and, therefore, a variance of a dispersion in an optical fiber. Single-mode fibers with the enlarged passband, increased effective area and minimal dispersion with wavelength band 1.55-1.625 μm are obtained
