Abstract :
This paper presents a new approach for estimating the Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials (BAEP). The originality of this method is that it is not content only on the observation defined as the response to the stimulation, but integrates also information about the stimulus and the Evoked Potentials (EPs) properties. The authors model the physiological system by a linear one and the problem that faces them is considered as an inverse problem. The EP are then estimated adaptively by maximizing an appropriate a posteriori distribution (MAP). Finally an interesting result on the BAEP is discussed
