Abstract :
In this study, the matching pursuit method was proposed to analyze the fetal heart rate variability during maturation. Results showed heart rate fluctuations have very complex structures ranging from burst type activity to continuous activity in the time-frequency plane. Results also showed that the sinusoidal-like and burst type activity were shifted to the higher frequencies above 0.1 Hz for the near term pregnancy
