  • Abstract
    A direct computation is introduced for the scattering in the transition region of a dielectric-coated conducting cylinder. The authors first deal with the scattering from a bare conducting cylinder to present the basic concept. As its application, they obtain the solution for the scattering from a dielectric-coated cylinder. Numerical results are compared with eigenfunction results.<>
