  • Abstract
Indoles, a group of alkaloids, showed a wide range of biological activities. Recently, there is a growing tendency to develop some new methods for the synthesis of novel indoles derivatives and to study their biological properties. In this paper, we like to report the design and synthesis of a novel series of tricyclic indoles through several efficient reactions, such as acylation, Pictet-Spengler reaction (P-S reaction) and so on. All these new target compound were synthesized in seven steps with the total yield of 11%-15%, All the products and important intermediates were characterized by 1HNMR and LC-MS spectrum.
