Abstract
Modeling large antenna arrays can be computationally prohibitive if the fine details of the individual antenna elements must be included. An alternative approach is to model only a single antenna element and use the boundary conditions of the computation to emulate the presence of the full array. We look at the infinite antenna array problem using the new split-field update method. Results based on the analysis of a dipole antenna array are used to illustrate the impact of scan blindness.
