Abstract
Value-added resellers (VARs) have been around for a number of years within the computer industry. This sales channel is now emerging as an option for switching power supply manufacturers. This paper explores the VAR trend and determines the reasons for its´ emergence among power supply vendors. The benefits and drawbacks associated with using VARs as a sales and distribution channel within the switching power supply industry is also examined
