This paper describes the past, present and future market and technical dynamics within the US power supply industry. A survey of virtually all leading US power supply manufacturers and OEMs has revealed the current and future condition of the US power supply market. In particular, the US communications market will be the fastest growing market for internal AC/DC switching power supplies and DC/DC converters through 2001
