Abstract
This paper presents a method to measure the power losses of low power factor (<0.015) inductors under high-frequency (up to MHz) large-signal excitations. The main attribute of the method is that it can effectively compensate for measurement inaccuracy caused by the phase error related to the parasitic parameters in the test setup. The possible measurement error sources are analyzed. The method is verified by characterizing an air-core inductor
