Abstract :
In this paper, we show that for images corrupted by white Gaussian noise, a minimum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) can be guaranteed in the IDS reconstructed image by adjusting the spread factor of the IDS filter. This can be done with better SNR at low intensities, and less blur at high intensities than for a comparable linear-shift-invariant (LSI) Gaussian filter
