Abstract :
Much has been written about the convergence of television, personal computing and communications, the discussion often appears to be confusing form with function. Thus at what point does a PC become a television?... and likewise if processing is added to the television or set top box, when does it become a PC? The real situation is somewhat more complex. What is clear is that to varying degrees many products are going to become more interactive, there will be more occasions when the user adds their slant to the action. The so called “Nintendo generation” have no difficulties with this, and simply expect the world to work in this way
