Abstract
Active plasma configuration control at the steady and quasi-steady phases with using the multivariable noninteracting control method has intensively improved the control performance. The plasma wall interaction has been avoided during the slow plasma current quench by the active plasma configuration control. This avoidance has been also achieved for the runway current tail, where high energy runway electrons are safely terminated. The passive control of the vertical plasma position at the fast plasma current quench with setting its initial location near the neutral point has avoided the large vertical displacement. This neutral point has been also confirmed for fluctuations of vertical and horizontal plasma positions at the plasma current disturbance (at the positive plasma current spike). The plasma performance control of the neutron yield rate for DD fusion reaction has been achieved
