Abstract
This presentation will address the perceived quality of video services and the key challenges that impact IPTV performance. We will explain how to measure the many factors that influence IPTV quality of experience (QoE) in triple play networks including: 1) Quantification of the quality of streamed video and audio content; 2) Automated testing of channel zapping time; 3) Challenges of reliability. We discuss and assess techniques for evaluating the performance of IPTV and Triple Play devices such as DSLAMs, B-RASs, service/edge routers, firewalls and others.
