Abstract
The authors present the results of an improved scattering model employed for weak compound slots, including the special cases of longitudinal slots and centered inclined slots. The method of moments scattering data for a weak compound slot are improved significantly by changing the scattering parameters of ports 1 and 2 in a specified manner. A comparison of theoretical and experimental scattering data for radiating slots is presented. Theoretical resonant frequency data were obtained from a method of moments computation at 5.3 GHz for the waveguide interior dimensions a=38.78 mm, b=10.0 mm, wall thickness t=1 mm, and 2.8-mm-wide slots.<>
