  • Abstract
Cloud computing is a disruptive technology, one that embodies a major conceptual shift and is rapidly changing the way users, developers, and organizations work with computing infrastructure. Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar offered a one-semester undergraduate course to introduce students to cloud computing. In this paper we describe our approach and experiences in designing the course. We describe course elements (lectures, assignments, case study, and projects) in detail and recount course delivery during the 2010 spring semester. Finally, we analyze our efforts and make recommendations for others who are planning to offer similar courses in cloud computing.
