Abstract
Recently retailers have displayed their products/services and its prices on the Web. Online sales have been accepted although its acceptance is still slow. One of the reasons is the online customers are restricted to what are shown to them. Customers cannot give any inquiries. Onsite sales are seen more natural; they allow customers to use natural language (English) to enquire about the products. Thus, there is a need to create an intelligent interface that can allow customers to make inquiries using a natural language such as English. Creating a natural language interface for online salespsila system is a very challenging task; various sentences can be used to represent the same meaning. A natural language interface is considered intelligent whenever it can resolve this problem. This paper proposes a technique of incorporating an agent with a natural language understanding techniques in creating an intelligent natural interfacing to online sales systems.
