  • Abstract
    We fabricate and characterize silicon waveguides and ring resonators around 5.5 μm on the Silicon-on-Sapphire (SOS) platform. The waveguide loss is 4.1 ± 0.7 dB/cm, and a Q value of 1.4k is achieved.
