Abstract :
With regard to the shortcomings of present storage stability test, a new instrument was developed and was used in studying the storage stability of SBS modified asphalt. Test results indicate that there is not relation between single asphalt component with compatibility, and the 48th hour is not the worst time of the isolation of modified asphalt. Also the tube test overestimated the possibility of segregation. So it is necessary to modify the active test method.
