Abstract :
Almost everyone agrees that C/ATLAS test language should jump to another level of capabilities environment in order to follow the current move in Technology and Software development tools. C/ATLAS language has very good and proven concepts that cannot be dropped due to its old architecture. It is very important to increase the power of the language and its appearance, but, at the same time keeping the test concepts. In this paper we will discuss the advantages of using C language, introducing C/ATLAS test concepts. This proposal is the use of C language as a test language merging all the C/ATLAS test concepts and adding new concepts not covered by actual C/ATLAS language. This study could help the SCC-20 in the discussion of the future ATLAS-2000 Test Language standard.
