Abstract :
In this paper, the surface wave on a plane conductor coated with thin dielectric layer is discussed based on the equivalent transmission line method. The relationship between surface impedance, propagation attenuation and dielectric parameters is analyzed. We propose that the product of μr\´ and νr" be used as the parameter evaluating the quality of the absorbing material
