Abstract
From Maxwell equations, a fundamental theory for chiroplasma media is given. In terms of the theory, a dispersion equation for the circular cross section cylindrical waveguide partially filled with the chiroplasma is derived. Numerical solution of the equation gives the propagation diagram of HE11, EH01, and HE21 waveguide modes. It is found that the propagation characteristics of plasma waveguides are still retained in the presence of the chirality admittance. With the increase of the chiroplasma region, the dispersive curves of the EH01 mode are shifted towards the higher frequencies
