Abstract
If the dominant-mode waveguide impedance (Z) and cutoff frequency (fc) can be determined, an equivalent lumped-element model can be developed to simulate a waveguide´s electrical properties within the frequency band of interest. This approach allows conventional linear simulation tools to be used to analyze the performance of circuits employing waveguide components, and is demonstrated in the design of a C-band evanescent-mode waveguide filter using a double-ridge waveguide
