    Some currently planned space programs of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), i.e. PLANET-C, MMO, Solar Power Sail, HTV and SSPS, are described. The spacecraft for the missions are strongly dependent on the performance of the photovoltaic power generation system
