Abstract :
Resource allocation for handoff in wireless ATM (WATM) networks has currently been an area of active research. This paper describes various issues and approaches related to resource management and efficient bandwidth allocation for handoff in a WATM network. Further, it reviews the existing approaches presented in the literature, looks at their advantages and drawbacks, and provides directions and suggestions for future research
