Abstract :
The CORBA/SNMP Gateway approach is based on the specification for inter-operable management between CORBA, OSI and SNMP domains. The specification is defined by the XoJIDM group sponsored by the Open Group and NMF. This approach maps SNMP MIB specification to OMG-IDL and defines the translation rules from SNMP to IDL. The IDL definitions, which are generated from the SNMP MIB can be compiled to, for example C++ or Java code. There already exists a variety of language mappings
