Abstract
This paper introduces the Telecom Italia approach to the management of its Broad Band Access Network. The network management architecture and the operations systems hereafter described have been conceived and specified in joint CSELT and Telecom Italia (TI) work-groups. At first, the access management theme and the related aspects will be exposed, introducing in the following the TI approach. The TI overall target architecture and therefore the broad band access management architecture will be described; as examples, the HFC and the BPON operations systems descriptions conclude the paper
