Abstract :
This paper deals with the synthesis of a robust adaptive controller considering the nonlinearities of SISO system. Processes such as blast furnace, cement kiln, digesters etc. are nonlinear and their order of mathematical model is not known. These processes are nonlinear to the extent that they can be controlled only by expert human operator. A fuzzy interface is introduced in this paper to model such a process into piecewise linear system online. This model is identified and is used by an adaptive pole placement controller to make the system robust. Simulation results are shown for verification
