  • Abstract
We first discuss roles of universities in promoting the innovation in services through research and education. As examples of successful collaboration of university and industry, we present a university- originated venture company for health care service and a project for innovating the fan service of a pro- baseball team. We also present an educational course on services science in the MBA Program of the University of Tsukuba.
