Abstract :
We adopt Tomlinson, Cercas and Hughes (TCH) sequences, developed by Cercas (see PhD Thesis, Technical University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior Tecnico, 1996), as the spreading code, because they have simultaneously good autocorrelation and crosscorrelation properties and lead to a very easy-to-implement receiver structure. The TCH spreading sequences can support about 8 times more users than Kasami sequences for the same BER and still provide a power gain greater than 3 dB
