Abstract
In this paper, the problem of fusing various sources of legal knowledge is addressed. It is shown that standard logic-based approaches to knowledge fusion can unfortunately transform necessary conditions for a rule to apply into sufficient ones. A transformation schema that solves this problem is then proposed and analyzed.
