Abstract :
The Electric Vehicles (EVs) are operated at various operating conditions and transient. It could then be expected that the induction motor (IM) parameters vary considerably and frequently in an electric vehicle drive. These parameter variations effect on the performance of an induction motor drive used in an electric vehicle. In this paper, a novel modeling methodology for IM is presented wherein motor parameters of various operating conditions are estimated from transient data information using an off-line method, and a correlation analysis is employed to map the parameters to operating conditions. As a result, it is possible to simultaneously estimate multi-parameters of the IM online. The effectiveness of the proposed motor model is verified by the comparison with experimental data.
