Abstract :
In this paper, a rainstorm process occurred on 23 June 2004 is selected in order to study the possible way of artificial suppression. Numerical simulation of this weather process is carried out using the un-hydrodynamics mesoscale model MM5(V3.7) on the base of synoptic analysis. The nonconvective precipitation is calculated by using the Reisner graupel explicit. Based on the control experiment, a series of sensitive tests on seeding AgI (artificial ice crystal) in variety time are conducted. It is demonstrated that the suppression validity of the seeding scheme many times is much better than continuous seeding of one time which kept 10 minutes for systematic and long- time life convective clouds. The right seeding scheme can suppress heavy rain and lead to rebuild the distribution of precipitation as well. It is clear that the right modification of the heavy-storm cloud clusters could reduce the nature disaster.
